Project Description

Having implemented entry level workflows at several clients, we have decided to develop a cloud-based workflow offering, spanning throughout multiple business units. The objective is to offer our clients access to processes and procedures without having a specialist staff member in that field. This is especially fitting in an SME who wouldn’t have enough demand to justify a dedicated staffing resource.

This product will need to compete in a mature and crowded commercial software space, so needs to be brought to market with optimum speed, quality and cost. The product will require development with complex links and interfaces into other technologies, platforms and newer landscapes such as Social Media.

Location

You would usually be based at Hemel Hempstead office; however we are open to work flexible hours or home working depends on situation.

Who you’ll be working with

You will join highly skilled technical team and will be able to work on challenging projects employing cutting edge technologies. We have an ambition to grow the team throughout 2021 and into 2022 focusing on key technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and cutting-edge web technologies.

Focus of your role

· building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure

· working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes

· working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

· Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation

· Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management

· Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools

· Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)

· Maintain and improve the company’s cloud infrastructure

· Programming. Converting technical designs into software solution.

· Testing, maintenance, deployment & documentation.

· You will use your experience to help assess whether the current tools and platforms remain competitive, fit for purpose and cost effective. You will justify your suggestions and if agreement reached, be a lead in the shift of our technology strategy.

Essential Skills

· Experience working with cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google cloud

· Hands on experience on AWS: EC2, ALB, SNS, SQS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, RDS, Lambda functions, Step functions, AWS Glue, Database Migration Services, Athena.

· Experience on hybrid cloud platforms, on-premise and cloud hybrid model

· Working knowledge on tools like Jira, Bitbucket and confluence.

· Good understanding of the principles and best practices of Software Configuration Management (SCM) in Agile, scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.

· Strong experience building and managing docker containers.

· Hands on experience using Kubernetes to manage micro services.

· Strong background of programming using Python, GoLang, Java, C#, JQuery, Node JS

· Experience on CI/CD Tools using VSTS, Github, GitLab, Jenkins, Buddy, CircleCI etc

· Experience working with scripting languages such as Powershell, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, AWS SAM CLI

· Experience in Administration of Production, Development and Test environments carrying different operating system platforms like Windows, Ubuntu, Red Hat Linux, Centos.

· Understanding to various deployment patterns.

· Experience of Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect and Active Directory Federation Services

· Architecting and implementing solutions with Azure, AWS

Desirable Skills

· Certification in Azure / AWS

· Design & Implementation of VMware virtual infrastructure

· Experience of working in a Scrum or Agile setting.
